We have received from a daylily specialist in Ohio a nice group of named varieties that will be offered for sale on June 23rd at the Watauga County Democratic Party’s huge plant sale. (Get full details here.) These are daylilies that retail at high prices, but we’re able to sell them cheap to our friends and neighbors.

(We’ll also have some unknown daylily cultivars lifted from local gardens. Some are orange, but others are a variety of non-orange colors. NO DITCH LILIES.)

Daylily “Red Ribbons” – Huge, swirling, ribbon-like blooms held on tall scapes make Red Ribbons a real eye-catcher in the garden. Its long, thin petals and sepals make it a perfect example of a “spider” type daylily. Retails at $15 and up. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “Siloam Double Classic” – Fluffy pink blooms with lots of ruffles. One of our most popular varieties, winner of numerous awards including the Stout Medal, daylily’s highest award. Also very fragrant – winner of the L Ernest Plouf Fragrance Award. An outstanding selection. Retails at $30 each. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “Fan Club” — A striking lavender, ruffled-petal daylily with a purple eye and chartreuse throat. Blooms born on 27-inch scapes. Registered in 1992. Retails at $6 and up each. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “Cedar Waxwing” – One of our favorite rose pinks. Its gorgeous blooms (white striations, yellow throat) come abundantly and are held high on sturdy scapes. A wonderful sight when it bursts forth with color. Retails at $10 and up. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “D.R. McKeithan” — A rich gold-cinnamon blend. Considered a “historic” daylily. It was first registered in 1955, named for a famous daylily breeder and authority. Retails at $6 and up. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “Passion District” – Ya like RED??? This is one HOTTIE! Dynamic red color so deep and vibrant, certainly one of the most popular reds available. As if all the red wasn’t enough, set it off by adding a fine white-gold wire around an extremely ruffled edge…and Woo Hoo!  Retails at $13.00 and up. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “English Cameo” —  A beautiful large round, heavily ruffled light cream peach. Blooms are always perfect. Early mid season. Extended blooms. Retails at $10 and up. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “Kindly Light” – The classic spider Daylily for over sixty years (it was first registered in 1949). A glowing yellow, the very narrow petals recurved in graceful elegance. Retails at $10 each. Our price: $3 each.

Daylily “Parfait” – Daisy-like lemon yellow and pink bicolor with deep rose tips. The long petals make this almost a spider. Retails at $10 and up. Our price: $3 each.
