Announcing our Guest Speaker - Emma Willard

Our guest speaker is Emma Willard, Teaching Fellow Scholarship Recipient, 7th/8th Grade History Teacher at Green Valley Elementary.  

Emma is a native and a life-long resident of Watauga County.  She graduated from Watauga High School in 2010 and was awarded a Teaching Fellows Scholarship. She received her B.S. in Middle Grades Education from ASU in 2014 and has taught at Green Valley Elementary School for the past seven years.

Emma is very eager to give us a first hand look at the current issues and state of affairs facing our teachers in NC Public Schools.

You're all invited to the Watauga County Democratic Party’s County Convention at the Watauga County Courthouse on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Join us for lunch and fellowship starting at noon. We will start the meeting promptly at 1pm. Please bring a sweet or savory dish to share.

During the meeting, we will approve the 2023 Minutes and discuss various topics outlined in the 2024 WCDP County Convention Agenda.

We welcome all to participate and extend an invitation to the Watauga County Democratic Party members who play a significant role in shaping our party's vision and contributing to the betterment of our community.
